About Us

With a deep passion for architecture and the built environment, Elri Bekker graduated from the University of the Free State School of Architecture in 2015 with a Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BArchStud) degree. His early professional years were shaped by meaningful experience alongside respected and seasoned architects, forming a strong foundation in both design thinking and practical delivery.

On 1 October 2018, Elri took a bold and faith-driven step to establish Aline Studio, a vision rooted not only in architectural excellence, but in purpose, humility, and stewardship. What began as a dream has grown into an international design practice serving hospitality and residential projects across Africa and beyond.

Guided by his Christian faith, Elri believes that the ultimate Architect is the Creator Himself, revealed through His Word and reflected in the beauty, order, and intention found in creation. This conviction shapes the spirit of Aline to design with reverence, responsibility, and care.

At Aline Architecture and Design, the approach is not to impose form, but to facilitate vision by carefully listening, interpreting, and elevating each client’s aspirations through thoughtful architecture, refined interiors, and meaningful spatial experience. The result is work that feels authentic, enduring, and deeply aligned with both place and purpose.
